CAPALL
Do you know anyone who really loves horses?
My wife is a person who loves horses with every fiber of her being and everything that has to do with them. She’s got a very special connection with the horses she gets to ride and it brings her absolute joy. These are a collection of illustrations I made inspired by that bond. The series is called “A Girl and Her Horse” with an additional collection called “A Man and His Horse”. Capall is the Irish word for horse. My wife is Half-Irish and she wanted to honor that heritage by creating this passion project.

CASE STUDY
STEP # 1
A couple of months ago a lady commissioned me to create some posters for her daughter’s bedroom. She sent a photo of the room so I could show her how the images would look when finished.
STEP # 2
The young lady chose 3 images that she liked from the catalog.
STEP # 3
Then she chose the color palette that would best fit her bedroom.
STEP # 4
I adjusted the images to fit the color palette she chose.
STEP # 5
I sent her a mock-up of how the images would look framed in her bedroom. Once the images were approved, I printed them out and framed them. They came out great.
STEP # 6
Here’s the real world image. The images are 24” x 36” plus frame.
PROCESS
In this quick video I give you a glimpse of how I make the images in the collection.
